We use 3D point cloud scanning to evaluate work during the construction process, exposing inaccuracies early in the process and lowering contractor risk. We also can quickly analyze building elements like elevator shafts and concrete floor flatness and levelness, calculating areas that need adjustment and determining accurate volumes of materials needed.
In addition, scan data creates accurate building documentation that owners can utilize throughout the lifecycle of a building.
Rework typically account for 12 to 15 percent of construction costs. But 3D scanning identifies conflicts before they happen, reducing rework to 3 percent or less. This translates into substantial savings and helps keep projects on schedule.
